Honor 5C users! Simplify Your Navigation Experience

Honor 5C running on Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.1 comes with a ‘Navigation Bar’ feature that lets you customize the phone’s navigation buttons as per your preference.

The navigation bar, present at the bottom of the screen, features the back, home and recent apps/multi-window touch buttons (in that order) as default. These can be tweaked to include a button for the notifications shade. Pressing this button would bring down the notification shade and display the notifications.

You can also choose to reorder the buttons as per you choice. You can choose to keep the back button on the left or either on the right. I personally prefer it to be on the right, with the home button being at the center and the recent apps/multi-window button on the right.


To get started,
1. Tap Settings.

2. Next tap Smart assistance.

3. In Smart assistance, tap Navigation bar.



4. Select your combination of navigation buttons by tapping the one you want to set



5. You’re done!

The Navigation bar feature is exclusive to EMUI and has been found to be extremely helpful if you’ve recently migrated to an Honor device. With this feature, you can also tweak the buttons based on whichever hand you use to operate your device.
