To speakers of foreign languages, has your skill helped you in getting a visa for work, education or leisure?

How has it empowered your ability to travel? Did you gain access to opportunities only accessible to foreign language speakers?

Also, does it help if you study in institutions like Instituto Cervantes, Alliance francaise etc?
