MANILA - Authorities discovered at least five human skeletons in an abandoned house at the Islamic Center in Quiapo, Manila Wednesday.
Local officials inspected the house in Carlos Palanca St. after two children reported foul odor from its premises, said Sultan Yusof Guinto, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) chairman of Barangay 648.
They found that the odor was strongest from a wall under the stairs.
Guinto said barangay workers assumed there was a cavern behind the wall after knocking on it and hearing hollow sound.
Responding policemen knocked down the wall and found skeletons stacked on top of each other.
