I was just wondering how to get residency in Spain if you are a Filipino. And my next question is that I heard and looked up online that Filipinos are eligible to apply for Spanish Citizenship after two years residency. I am a US citizen since birth, but my mom and I are planning on getting back our Filipino citizenship and this subject matter came up with someone I was having a conversation with so I looked it up online and gathered whatever info I could get. I read that the beauracracy of getting citizenship in Spain can be burdensome but was just wondering what are the requirements just to get residency in Spain for Filipinos. Is it also true that Spain taxes personal income and property of its citizens all over the world no matter where it is? And I read something that once you get Spanish citizenship you have to give up any other citizenship that you have? Hope to hear from peeps here who are knowledgable about this subject. I'm just inquiring. I'm not giving up my US citizenship if that is really the case and also if they can tax everything that is yours in other countries. Most important of all is that I want to know what are the requirements just to get residency. Any and all other info would be appreciated as well.
