Here's what happened. I recently got promoted in our company. Some of my Filipino co-workers & friends are more senior in terms of experience and years of service in our company. The thing is, they're all giving me hints that they're envious to the new benefits and higher compensation, more than double of the OT rate etc that I'm getting. To be honest, performance wise naman I think I'm more capable, skillfull, knowledgeable than them. Even my Singaporean colleagues knows it and prefers working with me over them because of my initiative and work ethique. My boss and some locals pa nga can attest that I'm equivalent to 3 employees in our company because of what I can do and I can outperfrom even most of our Singaporean engineers here. Kadalasan kasi ako yung pinagtatanungan or pinapatrabaho ng mga di nila alam at di nila kayang gawin.
Parang ngayon ko lang naranasan tong "crab mentality" ng mga Filipino. Mga tropa ko pa naman. Was planning to treat all 30+ of them in my team (including the locals) for a buffet or steak dinner. Kaso nagdadalawang isip ako dahil sa inggit ng ilang Pinoy na tropa ko.
Ba't kelangan pang mainggit eh sobrang laki rin naman na ng sinasahod din nila? Badtrip lang dahil may pagka sarcastic pa ang biro nila.
Does anyone have this kind of experience too?
