Project 333 was started a few years ago by Cortney Carver, it's part of the larger minimalism (living more with less) movement.

Folks esp. girls would you be able to do Project 333?

Project 333 = 33 pieces of clothes/accessories (including shoes) x 3 mos.

The rest of your clothes (if you're hardcore) you recycle/give away. If you're not hardcore you keep it but not use it (but you declutter as much as possible). Generally many use "capsules" ie set of clothes for certain times ie 33x3 mos for every quarter of the year (you put it away as soons as you're ready to use the next capsule).

Pros:
You only keep things that you like and the best of what you have.

You have more room in your closet.

Simpler decision making when building what you wear day to day.

Possibly make you the best dressed all the time (because all your clothes are only the best/quality clothes you have).

Save money in the future because you don't buy on impulse.

Cons:
Restricted to a set of wardrobe options.

Hard to get rid of stuff/pick what to let go (emotional attachments).

No back stuff.

Examples:

What do you think?

A. Pffttt, that just hippie fad philosophy. Why would you live 'more' when you have less stuff? More = more. Duh.

B. I think it only applies to rich countries where they have way too much stuff. In developing countries like the Philippines we could actually do with more.

C. Not in Filipino culture, esp. now that Philippines is developing and they're copying hunger for consumer stuff like in the West. More = status symbol.

D. I see myself agreeing with the idea but really I think this would be impossible for me because I like all my stuff. Plus I don't think I found a reason to really live with less, I'm totally fine with all the clutter I have in my house, I don't feel stressed at all.

E. Definitely I could really use less BS in my life, plus it would give me excuse to do more shopping for better stuff, I could just give away my cheapipay old stuff to people who may need it more.

F. I'm giving everything to charity right now thanks for showing me this way of life!

G. Other: Please specify.
