Baste Duterte joins showbiz, stars in TV reality show

ANILA — Presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte has been bitten by the show biz bug.

The 29-year-old bachelor, youngest son of President Duterte, will be featured in an eight-part “adventure-travel-reality” TV show called “Lakbai” on TV5.

“Wala eh, hindi ko na mapigilan kasi, ‘di ba? Nag-decide na lang ako to try show biz (I can’t help it, I can’t stop it, isn’t it? I just decided to try show biz),” the young Duterte said at the show’s launch held at Aracama at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City on Wednesday night.

“Lakbai” is a condensed take on the Visayan phrase “lakaw ta, bai” or “let’s go, friend.” It is also a play on the Filipino word “lakbay” which means “to travel.”
